Rachel Swirsky was one of Tor.com’s first short story authors, so today we’re super excited to report that Subterranean Press is releasing a collection of her short fiction this September—How the World Became Quiet, featuring two of her Tor.com tales and many more! Rachel Swirsky’s novelette “Eros, Philia, Agape” was nominated for the Hugo, the Theodore Sturgeon Award, the Locus Award, the southStory Million Writers Award, and the Tiptree Award. Her novelette “Portrait of Lisane da Patagnia” was a finalist for the 2012 Nebula Award.
